Chromophobia is defined as the fear of colors. Few people appreciate their environment colorful while some people prefer their surroundings free of colors. Chromophobia is the fear of colors. The origin of the word chrom is Greek (meaning colors) and phobia is Greek meaning fear. Chromophobai is considered to be a specific phobia; chromophobia is an irrational and unreasonable fear of colors. In severe cases chromophobia can intefere with daily life and prove debilitating. It can occur when a person experiences an increadiblyg negative event associated with a particular color or colors in general. Like other phobias, chromophobia is typically treated with exposure therapy, which can help desensitivze a patient to the feared object.
Chromophobia is not considered one of the most common phobias. Persons with chromophobia may associate a negative past experience with a color. Color-blind individuals may experience chromophobia due to career setbacks caused by their condition, or by the difficulties that can arise in daily life for those with a limited ability to see colors.

What Causes of Chromatophobia:-
When external events combine with internal predispositions, chromophobia occurs. The fear from usually occurs due to a specific triggering event at an early stage of life. The causes of the condition are at times quite complicated for you to decipher. Generally when several experiences of life wel combine with hereditary, genetics and brain chemistry, chromatophobia develops.

Symptoms:-
Symptoms of this particular fear form vary from person to person and they include a feeling of dread, irregular heartbeat, extreme sweating, mouth include a feeling of dread, irregular heartbeat, extreme sweating, mouth becoming dry, inability to speak or express, occasional shaking, extreme anxiety, shortness of breat, relentless sweating and nausea.
