Bacteriophobia is the fear of bacteria. The origin of the word bacterio is Greek meaning rod-shaped micro organism and phobia is Greek meaning fear.Bacteriophobia is considered to be a specific phobia.
Bacteriophobia is an overwhelmingly persistent fear of germs and microbes. The bacteriophobic individual irrationally thinks that lethal germs and bacteria are everywhere. The person copoing with this phobia can be severely impacted as to believe that bacteria is growing and will eventually cause their death.
Bacteriophobia is an uncommon type of fear in which people fear of the bacteria and microorganisms. They fear about these bacteria presence everywhere in almost everthig such as food clothes, bed water, etc. The thought process can lead them upto thinking that these bacteria will grow one day and eat them live. the fear also includes the illness causing bacteria such as typhoid bacteria and other deadly bacteria. During some wide epidemic, people are more likely to suffer from bacteriphobia.
The bacterial fear can be seen in people so commonly, that you can end up meeting bacteriphobia suffering people everywhere. People start excessive cleaning of the utensils in which they eat and also clean all the clothes they wear many times before wearing them.
Cause of Bacteriophobia:-
As with any phobia, the bacteriophobic individual has suffered a real-life trauma. That traumatic experience is then associated with germs and microbes.Perhaps this individual has personally experienced a severe bacterial infection at some time in their life. the bacteriophobic person witnessed someone else suffering a fatal illness that resulted from a bacterial infection.
Treatment:-
Bacteriophobia must be addressed through psychotherapy. There is simply no way to avoid the onslaught of bacteria that is present in our daily lives. It lives on us and in us and it is everywhere around us. A mental health professional can get at the root of these anxieties and help the afflicted person release their emotions. In some cases anti-depressants can help the person who fear bacteria.
Hypnoanalysis:-
Hypnoanalysis (hypnothearpy) is a type of therapy by which a person, with the assistance of a trained specialist, has his/her subconscious mind opened to suggestion for the purpose of changing one or more behavior patterns. When the subconscious is spoken to directly, it may be possible to find the issue triggering their phobia and introduce new ideas and positive suggestions. These positive suggestions may then be used to help make the change you desire. Teaching the mind to attach different feelings to playing with their minds. However hypoanalysis is considered to be safe and works fast hypoanalysis has been approved as a method of therapy since 1958 by the American medical association.
Bacteriophobia is an intense, irrational fear of germs, microbes and bacteria. Sometimes that fear can become so intense as to completely stop person's ability to function on a daily basis. Unchecked, bacteriophobia can become a debilitating condition that interferes with a person's social life,their personal life and job responsibilities.
