Anthropophobia is the fear of people or society. The origin of the word anthrop is Greek meaning man, mankind or people and phobia is Greek meaning fear. Anthropophobia is considered to be a specific phobia. Anthropophobia is an extreme, pathological form of shyness and timidness. Being a form of social phobia Anthropophobia is an intense fear of something that poses little or no actual danger. While adults with anthropophobia realize that these fears are irrational, they often find that facing, or even thinking about facing, the feared situation brings on a panic attack or severe anxiety.
Symptoms:-
Breathlessness, dizziness, excessive sweating, nausea, dry mouth, feeling sick, shaking, heart palpitations, a fear of dying, becoming mad or losing control, a sensation of detachment from reality or a full blown anxiety attack.
Treatment:-
According to the therapy of morita, the emotions cannot be changed by our will, but the effort to take the action to change the situation will lead the anxiety and will fear far.
